Salary: €23,698 – €25,594 dependent on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week including weekends and some bank holidays, along with a degree of flexibility to meet the needs of the business

Veterinary Specialists Ireland is looking to recruit a team of RVNS to join our new emERge 24/7 emergency and critical care service to provide exemplary emergency and critical care to Ireland’s pets.

You will work alongside Ireland’s only small animal board-certified ECVECC Diplomate and allied Specialists in internal medicine, surgery, sports medicine and rehabilitation, nutrition and integrative medicine. Our emERge service works closely with our specialist hospital for all internal transfers allowing continuity of patient care and the opportunity for nurses to see cases to a conclusion.

  • Positions available for experienced and new graduate veterinary nurses.
  • New graduates will be assigned an experienced nurse mentor and be enrolled in our new graduate training program.
  • You will have the opportunity to take part in the monthly wet-labs and practical workshops run by Specialists for our ECC fellows and ECC nurses.
  • Weekly clinical rounds
  • At Veterinary Specialists Ireland, nurses are fully utilised and we strive for all Nurses to reach their maximum potential. We currently have 4 Nurses with post-graduate ECC qualifications and an additional 2 studying towards an ECC certificate. Further post-graduate training is supported and funded.
  • The veterinary team is ably assisted by auxiliary staff consisting of a dedicated reception team, ACA and hospital cleaner.
