Specialist, Small Animal Surgery

We are seeking an ACVS/ECVS board-certified/residency-trained small animal surgeon to join our rapidly growing practice.
Our young and progressive team enjoy working with our high and varied caseload in a positive working environment, with opportunities to sub-specialise.
If you’ve just finished a residency or want to upskill there is support from our diverse team of four experienced boarded (ACVS/ECVS) surgeons, and our additional specialty services (ECC, Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine, Nutrition). The prerequisite is that you are a nice person to fit in with our positive team culture and engage in the great rapport we have with our referring general practitioners.

Specialist, Small Animal Internal Medicine

Here at Veterinary Specialists Ireland, we are delighted to announce an opportunity for a Board-certified (ACVIM/ECVIM-CA) or residency-trained Internal Medicine Specialist to join our rapidly expanding team of specialists.

Our new, privately-owned, referral-only, state of the art hospital, situated 30 minutes outside of Dublin, opened its doors as a surgical referral facility in July 2019. We are currently staffed with four ACVS/ECVS Diplomates, one of which is ACVSMR/ECVSMR Diplomate. Due to our expanding caseload we are launching our emergency critical care and internal medicine service. 

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with specialist colleagues, ancillary support staff and referring veterinarians to grow their service. Our hospital boasts all equipment required for a successful internal medicine service, including digital radiography, 64-slice CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy with vascular capability, flexible and rigid endoscopy, MRI, and full in-house laboratory equipment.

Full-time Registered Veterinary Nurses

Push your boundaries with a unique career opportunity and be part of our expanding team!

Due to our continued growth, including our new emergency critical care and internal medicine service, we are seeking additional full-time clinical RVNs to join our team.

Nurses are fully utilised and we strive for all Nurses to reach their maximum potential. On-site training provided, with new Nurses mentored by Senior Nurses. We actively encourage the development of advanced nursing skills in patient care, diagnostics, anaesthesia, critical care, medicine and surgery. The veterinary team is assisted by auxiliary staff consisting of a dedicated reception team, ACA and hospital cleaner.

Five-day 40 hour working week (9 hour work day with 1 hour break). Weekend rota is shared amongst all Nursing staff – weekends worked compensated with time-off-in-lieu the following week. We strive for Nurses to finish at their designated finish time; any overtime worked is compensated with time-off-in-lieu. Dedicated overnight veterinary staff means no OOH.

We have positions available for both new graduates and experienced RVNs. We offer a competitive salary (26-36k p.a.) depending on experience, annual pay reviews, regular in-house CPD, funded external CPD, contributions towards Certificate programmes and payment of annual VCI registration and VDS.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and work well within a team. Additional qualifications are an advantage.
