POSITION: Small Animal internal medicine specialistS
Veterinary Specialists Ireland is delighted to open two positions for board-certified (ACVIM/ECVIM-CA) or residency-trained Small Animal Internal Medicine Clinicians. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our expanding team of specialists.
Our independently-owned, referral-only hospital, located just 30 minutes from Dublin, has been serving the island of Ireland since July 2019. We currently have a range of boarded international Specialists, including six ACVS/ECVS Diplomates and three ECVS residents, one ACVSMR/ECVSMR Diplomate, two ACVECC/ECVECC Diplomates and one EVECC resident, one ACVIM/ECVIM (Oncology), one DECVCN/DACVIM (Nutrition), alongside cert holders in internal medicine, cardiology and exotics. We collaborate closely with specialists at our sister hospital, which opened in Cork in May 2024. Our Specialty teams are supported by a team of 14 rotating and specialty interns.
Due to our growing caseload, we are seeking a qualified professional to join our referral-only internal medicine service. The successful candidate will work closely with a dedicated team of specialist colleagues, support staff, and referring veterinarians, with the assistance of our experienced medicine nursing team. We would ultimately like to work towards becoming a residency training centre for ECVIM-CA. Our hospital is fully equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including digital radiography, 160-slice CT, two high-end GE ultrasounds, fluoroscopy with vascular capability, a range of flexible and rigid endoscopy, 1.5T MRI, and a comprehensive in-house laboratory with a dedicated laboratory technician.
