As Ireland’s largest referral surgical hospital, maintaining a clean theatre environment and processing surgical equipment in a sterile manner is imperative to optimising patient outcomes. We are looking to recruit a full-time colleague for as a sterile supply technician (part-time candidates will also be considered).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintaining the surgical theatres and surrounds in a clean, orderly and sterile fashion
- Turnover of surgical theatres between procedures
- Decontamination, cleaning and packing of surgical and medical equipment.
- Use of autoclave and ethylene oxide sterilisation equipment
- Performing weekly stock take of surgical consumables
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working in a Central Sterile Supply Department in a human or animal
department desirable, however, full training will be provided to the right candidate. - Position may suit individuals with experience as a Veterinary Nurse or Patient Care Assistant.
- Attention to detail is essential to maintain exceptional standards in the surgical department
