We are looking to recruit a full-time patient care assistant (part-time candidates will also be considered).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the care of both inpatients and day patients.
- This will involve walking, toileting, feeding and kennel care.
- Work alongside the veterinary and nursing teams to administer medications and keep digital records.
- Assist the veterinary and nursing teams with procedures such as catheterisation, ultrasound scans, x-rays etc
- Stocking of the clinical areasÂ
- Ad-hoc duties
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of QQI Level 5 required
- Veterinary hospital experience beneficial but not essential
