As Ireland’s largest referral surgical hospital for pets, maintaining an immaculate environment is imperative to optimising patient outcomes. We are looking to recruit a full-time colleague for assisting facilities and hygiene of all public and general hospital areas (part-time candidates will also be considered).

 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sanitisation & Infection Control: Deep-cleaning and disinfecting operating theatres, prep rooms, wards, and consult rooms to strict veterinary hygiene standards.
  • General Housekeeping: Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying waste bins across public, clinical, and administrative areas.
  • Laundry Management: Washing, drying, and folding uniforms, bedding, and towels.
  • Facility Maintenance: Monitoring stock levels of cleaning supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and assisting with basic, light facility tasks (e.g. organizing storage).
  • Waste Disposal: Safely disposing of clinical and general waste in accordance with hospital protocols.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Attention to Detail: You have an eye for cleanliness and don’t cut corners.
  • Reliability & Work Ethic: You take pride in your work and understand the importance of your role in animal care.
  • Compassion: A love for animals and comfort working in an environment where sick or injured animals are present.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to [e.g., 15kg] throughout your shift.
  • Previous Experience: Experience in commercial cleaning, hospitality, or a healthcare setting (medical or veterinary) is highly desirable, but we will provide full training for the right candidate.
