Theo’s story 💔➡️❤️
Theo, a 5 year old Springer Spaniel cross, was rushed to our Emergency Service after sudden severe tremors caused by suspected slug pellet exposure.
On arrival, he was critically unwell, unable to stand, severely tremoring, and running a dangerously high temperature of 41.3°C.
He received immediate intensive care, including decontamination, advanced emergency treatment, and round-the-clock monitoring.
Just 48 hours later, Theo walked out of hospital and back to his family.
⚠️ Suspected poisoning is always an emergency. Rapid action saves lives.

What a weekend at the AOVET Principles Course in Budapest 🇭🇺🦴
48 participants from all over the world united for 3 days to undergo intensive orthopaedic training with 8 expert surgeons from all over Europe
Surgical resident, Katerina, had the opportunity to network with fellow residents and solidify her orthopedic principles, whilst Specialist surgeon, Laura, lectured, led discussion groups, and taught in practical labs

After being diagnosed with steroid-responsive meningitis-arteritis (SRMA — an inflammatory condition affecting the blood vessels of the brain and spinal cord), Cannoli came back to us for a re-check.
Safe to say, he passed his “NCT” with flying colours 🚗✨ At the time, he was happily racing around the halls of Veterinary Specialists Ireland. 🐾
He soaked up plenty of cuddles and pats from the whole VSI team, and we couldn’t have been happier to see him back to his bright. 💙
