POSITION: NIGHT TIME VETERINARY NURSE

What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced and outstanding Night Time Veterinary Nurses to join our 7-on, 14-off rota.
- Candidates should have a genuine passion for out of hours veterinary, a dedication to gold-standard nursing care, and a love for inpatient care.
- Inpatients will be from a variety of disciplines: Internal Medicine, Surgery (Soft tissue and Orthopaedic), Neurology, Critical care, Emergency and Exotics.
- While this role is primarily an inpatient care role the candidate should possess the ability to perform other nursing skills such as:
- Anaesthesia in an emergency setting
- Assisting in emergency surgical procedures as a circulating nurse
- Triage of emergency cases
- Admit and discharge appointments
- Sterilisation of instrumentation
- General veterinary nursing skills to assist our overnight vets and on-call Specialist teams

Schedule & Work Details:
- Full-time, permanent role
- Location: In-person, Meath
- 7 consecutive night shifts (Monday to Monday)
- Shift: 8 pm – 8:30 am (12.5 hour working shifts including breaks equating to 1.5 hours)
- Annual leave is taken during the scheduled ’14-off’ period
Requirements:
- Veterinary Nursing Degree recognised by the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI) – Essential
- Current VCI registration – Essential
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience – Essential
- Additional qualifications or interest in completing additional qualifications – Preferable
